Fort Adams in Newport, RI

On July 3, I took a tour of the amazing, 300 year old Fort Adams in Newport, Rhode Island!  It is also the biggest fort in North America.  (pretty sure) By the way, it gave me a ton of inspiration for future Minecraft projects on my server.  Anyways, Fort Adams is amazing!  Here are some pictures.

 

The last picture is from tunnels that the guards used to use to listen underground for the enemy.  There was no way you could go over the fort and into it without getting slaughtered.  So what they did was they would dig tunnels underground.  Then they would blow up part of the wall of a fort.  That was why these tunnels were built.  The guards listened for anyone digging underneath.  (pretty cool isn't it) More architecture is coming.  Stay Tuned!

Done...With Driving!

It has been 3 days since I posted an update that late Tuesday night.  I'm finally off the road after 3 days of driving!  We are in Rhode Island.  I took a lot of pictures on the road of big cities and other landmarks.  (including Indianapolis, Colombus, New York City, and others) But I won't be showing them because they are very low quality.  It is kind of hard to take a good picture on the highway!  Although, I will be showing tons of pics from here in the New England area.

An Update...about a VACATION and some ARCHITECTURE!!!

*Braces himself for an awesome update*  We all know I haven't been posting in a little more than a month now.  And yes I do apologize.  It has been a busy month (for me anyways) considering I have been playing Minecraft the WHOLE time. :D But everything is coming to a stand still.  Tomorrow we are leaving to Rhode Island for a very LONG 2 and half day drive!!!  Also, I will be posting throughout the trip.  I don't know how much, but it will be a reasonable number.  You also have to remember that this is about an 18 DAY TRIP!!  (Including the time spent getting there.)  It is a little longer than our 2009 East Coast adventure!  Hehe.

On the other hand...is Minecraft.  There is some very fun stuff going on at my server.  I will also be showing pictures of that.  By the way, the server has changed a ton since the last couple of pictures about our space needle.  (and yes my friends play too)  Here is the link to that post if you want to see it: Minecraft Space Needle.  So, if you guys are interested, I will be posting a bunch on Minecraft this next couple of weeks.  (hope you enjoy that)  There still is going to be architecture.  And come on, there has got to be.  We are going to New England: the most historic place in the U.S.

But to make this post a shorter one, we are pretty much going on a trip, there is going to be lots of architecture, and Minecraft is getting way more fun!  How's that for a shorter post!!!  Haha.  Anyways, see you guys tomorrow.  Let us head off to the EAST!!!  *Stands on a hill and poses dramatically*
