Special Edition: The Future of Dubai Part 2

The Future of Dubai Part 2

Here's a link to part one if you haven't seen it: The Future of Dubai Part 1

In this second part, I will be covering the plans in depth and what exactly the buildings that you saw in the video will be.  Enjoy.

The first project is what is known as a high skyscraper.  Hint the word "high".  Actually, high is an understatement for what Dubai will be like.  The project called Vertical City is going to be crazy.  I mean mind-boggling.  Here's a picture from Dubai.com to give you an idea of what it will look like.

Okay, that really isn't a good example of what I'm about to say.  This "high skyscraper" is projected to be 2.4 kilometers high.  Now, I didn't think that was a big deal until I looked it up.  Did you know that 2.4 kilometers is 1.5 miles high?  Yeah, I didn't.  Words can't describe how high this building will be.  It will also have 400 floors.  The elevator trains' speeds will go up to about 125 miles per hour.  For some more information about the Vertical City project go to: wikipedia.org

Next is the Dubai Towers.  They are some of the most unique structures in the world.  They are a future project in Dubai, and they will serve as the centerpiece of a project called "The Lagoons".  The tallest out of the four towers is supposed to be 1,310 feet tall.  Construction is currently on hold.

The design was inspired by the shape and movement of a candlelight.  This is it for now on Dubai's future projects, but I'll be talking about Dubai more in the future.  Trust me, there's a ton of things to talk about in Dubai!  And until next time, Enjoy the ARCHITECTURE!
