Church Sundays | Week 5

Today's Church Sunday features the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Sofia, Bulgaria.

The Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Sofia, Bulgaria, was built in a Neo-Byzantine style.  It was constructed between 1904 and 1912.  It can also hold 10,000 people inside with 34,100 square feet, and it is the biggest cathedral in the Balkan Peninsula.  The Alexander Nevsky is one of the largest Eastern Orthodox cathedrals in the world.
