Sometime in late July on the server, my friend Peyton had an idea to build a boat. He estimated it would be about 50 blocks long and 25 blocks wide. We had no idea it would turn out to be an amazing cruise liner type boat. (all made out of wood by the way) We chose logs and wood since it was the cheapest material to get. Then we started building it right next to the pier by the central area on the server. (Spawn Center) It was really fun. We called it the MC Cruiser. (short for Minecraft Cruise Liner) Here is the tour of a boat that took 3 days to complete with three people (Peyton, my little brother, and me) First of all, here are some pictures of the ship at night.
Now let's start the tour.
*Shouts out loud, "To the ship!"*
Basically, the ship has 5 decks including the very bottom. The bottom deck has a mess hall, which was designed by Peyton. At the ship entrance and 1st floor there are 10 rooms and each cost $20.00. This floor also includes the main deck. At the 2nd floor there is a massive tennis court. The glowstone posts on the side lights it up at all times of the day. Also on the same floor, to the side of the ship, there is the entrance into the Captain's Quarters, which is the "control room" of the ship. On the 3rd floor there is a balcony off the stairway and a night club in the back with red, green, and blue wool to give you that "disco" feel. And last but not least is the top deck, which includes a 4 meter deep pool with a diving board and seating with a great view of the city. Also at each floor, to the side, is a balcony that goes across almost the full length of the ship. Again, the construction material used was mostly wooden planks for the floors and regular log for the walls.
In the end, I thought this was a beautiful ship. We worked very hard for 3 days to get this done. More of these amazing creations will be posted on my blog. I love sharing what my friends and I have created. It is weird to think that all this stuff is virtual, and it serves no purpose! But the fun thing is to create architecture and design anything you want. That is why I love playing this game. The ultimate game is real life: you get to create and see your creations, not in a virtual reality, but a real one.
